# Pending orders

> Review unpaid orders, expiry times, and the path to payment.

Pending orders are commercial records that have not completed payment or final confirmation.

## Pay an order

Open the payment action before the order expires. The platform may use account credit or another configured payment path depending on the order flow.

## Expired orders

An expired order should not be assumed to reserve inventory or pricing. Return to pricing or checkout and create a new order when necessary.

## Distinguish orders from services

A paid or created order can still lead to a pending service while operational provisioning is completed. Track that state under [Pending services](/docs/console/pending-services).
