API errors

Interpret KmerHosting API status codes and prepare safe diagnostic information.

The Developer API returns HTTP status codes and structured error information.

Code	Meaning	Response
200	Successful read or update	Read data from the response envelope.
201	Resource created	Store the returned identifier or one-time secret safely.
204	Successful operation with no body	Do not attempt to parse JSON.
400	Invalid input	Check path, query, and body fields.
401	Missing or invalid API key	Verify the Bearer header and key status.
403	Key lacks permission	Use a key with the required scope.
404	Resource absent or not owned	Verify the ID and owning account.
409	State conflict	Refresh the resource before retrying.
429	Rate limit	Back off and retry later.
500	Server error	Record time and request context, then contact support.

Safe diagnostic bundle

Include method, endpoint, status code, timestamp, request ID when provided, and a sanitized response excerpt. Never include the Bearer key.
